A babysitter receives calls from a man who wants her to check the children, but she never does. The man keeps calling the rest of the night, but she never goes upstairs. The man is in the house with her and has butchered the two kids asleep upstairs. Seven years later the killer has escaped from the mental hospital and is on the loose. He starts stalking a woman he meets in a bar, but she lives. The father of the children that were murdered hires a private detective to track him down and kill him. The killer ends up stalking the babysitter of those children.
The first 20 minutes of the movie are the best and creepiest. The rest of the movie is about the detective tracking down the killer. The great Carol Kane is the babysitter with an even talented supporting cast. I know a lot of people that are not very impressed with the movie, but I still like anyway. The middle does run a bit slow, but the ending of the movie at least ends with the characters from the beginning. If you haven’t watch it, then do it, and if you have, then watch it again. Enjoy.
