This was going to be the final Friday the 13th film, but it wasn’t. The movie opens up when a woman going to a remote cabin in the woods to take a shower, when all of a sudden Jason appear out of the dark. Didn’t he get hit with toxic waste in the last one? Whatever. Jason chases her out of the house and into the woods. All of a sudden a S.W.A.T. team is hiding out in the woods to kill Jason. All you have to do is be in the woods and Jason shows up. I’m not going in the woods any more. The S.W.A.T. team fills Jason with hundreds of bullets and bombs, finally blowing him up in pieces. Now Jason is dead, but it is only the beginning of the film.
Jason’s body is taken to the coroner’s office to be dissected. The doctor that is performing the autopsy begins to look at Jason’s big old heart a little too close, and then starts eating it. Why in the hell would someone what to do that? I mean really, you know that thing is full of disease and what not. The doctor becomes Jason by eating his heart.
Jason is not merely a man or zombie, but a demon from hell that has escaped. I guess so. After one body is used up the Jason creature has to find another host. While all of this is going on the news of Jason’s missing body has been reported with a TV reporter and a bounty hunter looking for Jason for money.
We back to Crystal Lake where it all began, and the last remaining Voorhees still lives there. Enter Erin Gray from Buck Rogers plays one of the relatives and her daughter has a daughter. I know. The story goes that Jason can only be killed or reborn by a Voorhees, so the three of them are screwed.
The best characters in the movie are the couple that owns the diner that Erin Gray work at. The woman looks like a fat drag queen and her boyfriend or husband is played by Leslie Jordan, the shortest gayest man on earth. I think he is funny. He was great in Will & Grace.
The ending of the movie was one of the most anticipated moments in the entire Friday the 13th history. You see Jason’s hockey mask lying on the ground after being dragged to hell, and Freddy’s razored hand pops up out of the earth to take the mask. The official news of the Freddy vs Jason movie was shown. New Line did buy the rights to the franchise.
