The third installment of the Friday the 13th series really takes place the next day on the 14th. This one was in 3-D. This time it takes place at a summer home on the lake near Camp Crystal Lake. A group of friends are going to hang out for the weekend at their friend Chris’ summer house, and she can see her local summer fling.
Two of the kids go to the local store to get groceries for the weekend and have a run in with a biker gang. Which it is so easy to find a 3 member biker gang in a small wooded town. Of course the kids get pissed off from the run in with the biker gang. The biker gang follows them back to the house to mess with them, and then they meet Jason, the first real killings in the film. One by one everyone is killed in decorative ways. Jason really does place each body to be found, but how does he know. He must be smarter than we think.
There is a barn where several of the murders take place which I did enjoy the use of the building. The scene where Chris hooks him and Jason is pushed out of the hay loft and is hanging in the door of the barn.
Of course Chris “kills” him and is on a boat in the lake. Just like the ending of the first movie. When you think all of it over here come Jason’s mother up out of the water head and all to pull Chris in the water. Now I thought it was pretty talented of her to keep her head on while dragging Ginny in the water. She was headless from the first movie.
This was the one wear Jason gets the hockey mask, because Shelly brings it. This one was one of my favorites. It is cheesy, but it was the real start of Jason with the mask.
